What you are walking to

Changi Airport calls Jurassic Mile the largest permanent outdoor display of life-sized dinosaurs in Singapore. More than 20 creatures, nine species, stand along 1 kilometre of path. The mix includes carnivores, herbivores, armoured dinosaurs and ones that fly. The tallest is almost 5 metres. A Tyrannosaurus and a set of eggs are among the displays the airport names. [1]

The path is part of the Changi Airport Connector, the cycling and jogging link between the airport and the park connector toward East Coast Park. It opened in October 2020. At opening, entry was free, 24 hours, with a temporary weekend booking rule. [2] The current attraction page still lists 24-hour opening and public directions, and it does not ask you to book. [1]

The airport’s page header also carries a “transit” label. The directions underneath are for the public path: Terminal 4’s arrival doors, Car Park 4A, and buses. You do not need a boarding pass.

How to get there

Hub & Spoke, at Terminal 2, is where bicycles are rented. That rental has opening hours and a fee. The dinosaurs do not. If you only want the sculptures, skip the 2 km and go to Terminal 4.

Changi Airport’s directions put about 2 km between Hub & Spoke at Terminal 2 and Jurassic Mile. The Terminal 4 arrival puts you at the display. The 1 km figure is the length of the dinosaur stretch itself, which you still walk if you want to see the far end. Source: Changi Airport.

The third bar is short on purpose. Terminal 4 is the start, not a second hike. A stroller can do the kilometre of displays if the weather holds. A bicycle with a small child seat is a Hub & Spoke question, and that shop is at the other end of the 2 km.

With children

The sculptures are for looking at. The path is also used by cyclists, and there is no shelter from the midday sun.
  • Morning, or after 4.30pm. The path is unsheltered. Midday is a sunburn with dinosaurs.
  • Water, hats, and a rain plan. There is no hall to duck into on the mile itself.
  • Stay to the side. The path is for cyclists and joggers as well as families stopping for photographs.
  • Look, and read the panels. The sculptures are not a climbing frame.
  • A toddler who needs to run can have an indoor hour afterwards. The venue list is on the indoor playground page.
  • Combine it with Jewel only if the children are still willing after the outdoors. Jewel is a mall. The mile is a path. They are not the same outing.

School-holiday weekends put more bicycles on the connector. The dates are on the 2026 and 2027 pages. A wider Saturday menu is on things to do this weekend.

If the trip is the reward after a morning of schoolwork, keep the morning short and marked. One situational-writing piece is enough before an outing. The timing is on the situational writing page. Questions parents ask

What is the Changi Jurassic Mile?

It is Singapore’s largest permanent outdoor display of life-sized dinosaurs, on a 1 kilometre stretch of cycling and jogging path beside Changi Airport. Changi Airport lists more than 20 creatures from nine species. The tallest is almost 5 metres. It is open 24 hours, daily. There is no attraction ticket. It is a public path.

Where is Jurassic Mile and how do you get there?

The simplest arrival with children is Changi Airport Terminal 4. Buses 24, 34, 36 and 110 stop at Terminal 4. From level 1, follow the signs from the arrival pick-up doors toward the path. By car, park at Car Park 4A. From Terminal 2 or Changi Airport MRT, the airport’s own directions send you via Hub & Spoke and then a further 2 km on foot or by bicycle.

Is Jurassic Mile indoors?

No. The displays are outdoors and unsheltered. Go in the morning or late afternoon. Bring water, hats, and a plan for rain. There is no indoor fallback on the path itself. Hub & Spoke, back toward Terminal 2, has a café and bicycle rental with its own hours.

Do you need to book?

No. Weekend pre-booking was a safe-distancing rule when the path opened in 2020. Changi Airport’s current page lists the display as open 24 hours daily and gives public directions, with no booking step. Bicycle rental is separate and paid.

Is it suitable for toddlers?

Yes, as a walk or a stroller trip beside large sculptures, if you go before the path is hot and crowded. The dinosaurs are exhibits, not a playground. Hold hands near cyclists. A child who needs to climb and run will do better at an indoor playground after this, not on the sculptures.
